TROY TRIBBLE

​I'm caught in a groove in the same energy used to create life. It is also the same energy that I use in creating my art. Each piece I have made has been a child of mine. Currently, there are well over a hundred more pieces. 

I was born in Melrose Park, Illinois, on October 3rd, 1980. I attended Florida A&M University, where I received my degree in Fine Arts with a Bachelor of Science and a minor in graphic design in 2003.

My journey as an artist began at the early age of 4. He-Man and the Masters of the Universe were my introductions to art. I was so fascinated by these characters that I wanted to draw them all the time, whether He-Man, Skeletor, Orko, Trap Jaw, or Teela-who was the baddest woman in the galaxy! My drawing skills at the time were not up to par, but my oldest sister, who was an artist, would draw the characters for me. Every day she came home from school, she had a new image for me, and I would take a sheet of paper, put it on top of the character that she gave me and start tracing the characters until I could draw them myself. She was my first teacher and the one who introduced me to portraitures. She taught me to focus on the human face's detailed structure and how things are supposed to look proportionally. So I continued to practice portraits by using magazines and drawing celebrities.

Over the years, I studied and perfected my craft as an artist in abstract, collage,  drawing, mixed media,  printmaking,  and digital design. Based on my knowledge of structure and composition and natural sense of color, I was able to master the use of different mediums and collage them into one. 

I live in New York City, working for Tribbell Consulting LLC. As a creative developer consultant. I enjoy spending time with my family, traveling the world, and producing new artwork.
